The tragedy that recently took place in Feguson, MO surrounding the shooting and killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown has major cause for concern.

Officer Darren Wilson shot 18-year old Michael Brown six times in the right side of his head, shoulder and stomach, resulting in his death about a week ago. Brown had no weapon on him, was only a couple minutes away from his destination, but the soon-to-be college student never made it.”Tragic,” “disgusting” and “change” are just a few words that come to mind.

When tragedy does strike, there’s always a handful of celebrities who speak out on the situation and offer a helping hand, whether they’re asked to do so or not. In this case, J. Cole went to Ferguson to speak with the protestors and offer his support, Elle Varner released an inspiring track paying homage to Mike and his family, Jeezy and Wiz Khalifa paid homage during their Under The Influence tour stop in St. Louis, and several other celebrities have voiced their thoughts on social media.

Does their celebrity status require them to speak up? Weigh in on our latest Civil Court as two of our writers go head-to-head on this debate.
