It’s Now Or Never Again For Chris Brown

Chris Brown was the real MVP of Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2014. It seemed like Sevyn Streeter, Trey Songz and Lil Wayne were using Breezy’s chart-topping summer hit “Loyal” as a prayer to spring Breezy from the pen. Though he is not out of the woods just yet, the singer is fortunate to be out of jail.

Before legal drama took the main stage in Chris Brown’s life, fans were anticipating “Don’t Be Gone Too Long” featuring the pint-sized pop singer Ariana Grande. It’s been a long road of court visits, rehab centers and prison cells (next to DeBarge) for CB, and even still the crooner is facing a case against him and his bodyguard in D.C. So we get it, Chris. You’ll need to spend these first few days making up for lost time with bae Karrueche since she held it down. But don’t get too comfortable playing Yoko Ono and John Lennon.

Your ass is due in studio.

The time is now for Chris to hop right back into work and spare not one minute on anything unrelated to music. There isn’t any more time left for petty Twitter rants, fistfights and chair-throwing tantrums. CB owes it to his fans to make good on all of his promises and drop his long overdue X followed by Fan of a Fan 2. In that order.

Not every artist is as nice as his homie Trey Songz. While Trigga is all about building each other up and extending a helping hand, other artists may be gunning for the No. 1 spot left open by his absence. If CB’s name becomes synonymous with court room proceedings instead of music there will be enough air left for new crooners like August Alsina and Luke James to fill in the void.
