With the premiere of Disney’s live-action The Lion King, and her film-inspired EP ‘The Gift’, Beyoncé can add her six Emmy noms to her accomplishments of the week.
Earlier today, the nominations for this year’s 71st Primetime Emmy Awards were announced, with the singer’s ‘Homecoming’ documentary snagging six, including Outstanding Variety Special.
The live concert film focused on the ‘LEMONADE’ singer’s historic 2018 Coachella performance, making her the first black woman to headline the music festival. In the documentary, Bey discusses the importance of representation, her history-making performance, as well as live footage from both weekends.
