Chris Brown, Drake, Beyonce Lead Nominations for 2019 Soul Train Awards

BET Networks just revealed the host and nominees for the 2019 Soul Train Awards

Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold will co-host and co-produce this year’s show, which will take place on November 17, 2019, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. 

As far as nominees, Chris Brown leads the pack, receiving eight nominations, including “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist,” “Album/Mixtape of the Year,” and two nods in the “Best Dance Performance” category. 

Breezy is followed by Drake, who received seven nominations in categories ‘Rhythm & Bars,’ ‘Best Dance Performance,’ ‘Best Collaboration,’ and two nods in the ‘Song of the Year’ category for the single “No Guidance” and “Girls Need Love Too Remix.”

Beyoncé and Lizzo are tied at six nominations for ‘Best R&B/Soul Female Artist,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ ‘Best Dance Performance,’ and ‘The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award.’

Songwriting duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis will also be honored with the Legend Award, and gospel music superstar Yolanda Adams will be presented with the esteemed Lady of Soul Award. 

The Soul Train Awards will air LIVE, November 17th on BET and BET HER at 8 PM EST.
