Rapper Belly was supposed to perform on network television tonight (May 25) for the first time ever, however, he chose to cancel his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live because he did not want to appear alongside of GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump.

Belly is an immigrant from Canada and has a strong belief against the radical beliefs of Donald Trump, resulting in the call to cancel his performance. Belly displays his belief in equal right for all in a statement expressing he “is taking a stand against a man who has made many negative and detrimental remarks about minorities, women, various religious groups and more.”

Belly’s appearance on Kimmel tonight was to support the release of his forthcoming mixtape Another Day In Paradise and wants his fans to know that he plans on making up the cancelled performance to them soon.

The Roc Nation rapper’s recent single “Might Not” featuring The Weekend has held down the #1 slot on the Billboard Rhythmic Charts for three weeks and would have been the choice for the performance tonight.

In addition, a new release from Belly, “Ballerina,” has leaked online providing another glimpse of what will be coming from the artist’s mixtape, which is schedule to release this Friday, May 27th.
