Nicki MinajBest Female Hip-Hop Artist

Nominees:Azealia Banks, Nicki Minaj, Tink, Iggy Azalea, Trina, Dej Loaf

Jay: Nicki Minaj – If this was best “new” female artist, Dej would’ve won by a landslide. But, let’s face it; Nicki’s still the Queen of hip-hop, and she made that abundantly clear this past year.

Lindsey: Nicki Minaj – In the back of my mind, I want this to go to Tink, but I can’t deny the power and success of Nicki. Her album wasn’t my top choice from a female artist this year, but I won’t knock her work ethic, promotion game, and diverse sound.

Sabrina: Nicki Minaj – If it were up to me, I’d give it to Tink (I love that girl!), but Nicki Minaj is still the only female running the rap scene right now. Nicki had every female going crazy for her Flawless video with Queen Bey, and all the dudes were definitely fans as well. Let’s not forget about The Pinkprint, since that album goes hard. Nicki wins this again, hands down.

Lupe: Nicki Minaj – The Queen of Hip-Hop right here. Though, I will say that I’ve been vibing to Tink and Dej a lot lately because those two girls are going places! But, like I mentioned, Nicki continues to dominate, and takes the lead with this one.

Masani: Azealia Banks – Ms. Banks hands down, because she is undoubtedly one of the most fire MC’s from the 212, and she has her own atmospheric sound that can’t be pigeonholed. She sings, raps, and creatively does what she wants when it comes to visuals. She is definitely an underdog in this category, but I think she deserves the crown.

Breanna: Nicki Minaj – Nicki Minaj is going to win because she always does, and it’s well deserved! She came out this year with non-stop hits and successes. Her venture with TIDAL, her popularity with the “Anaconda” song/video, the highly attended Pinkprint Tour concert, not to forget her hottest single, “Feeling Myself” with Queen Bey? There’s no way Nicki won’t win again.

Shawn: Nicki Minaj – I would love for this to go to my hometown shero, Tink, but she isn’t the juggernaut to knock off Ms. Minaj yet. The Pinkprint architect will stroll out the victor.
