Civil Court (Sports Edition): Who Will Win the NBA Finals?
by Staff Editor
But before we crown the Cavs let’s get a couple things straight. First, this is not the best team LeBron James has ever had, those Miami HEAT teams were well equipped with Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen and more, however, there has never been a team to represent Cleveland better than this one in history. Second, this Golden State Warriors squad is the most dangerous in terms of offense than any other team The King has ever seen in the playoffs.
As the ball goes in the air, the power and success of the Dubs doesn’t matter because the best player on the planet is not wearing their blue, white and gold. LeBron James is playing the best basketball of his career, analyst and fans know it, the Warriors know it and most importantly he knows it.
But a King can’t win a ring without a court to support. The Warriors can shoot threes, but J.R. Smith has been automatic and one on leg Kyrie Irving has been a terror. Tristan Thompson is the best rebounder alive right now. The Big boy in the middle Timofey Mosgov isn’t having any action at the rim and defensive efforts of Iman Shumpert and the little annoying bug to opposition known as Matthew Dellavadova will provide the Splash Bothers a handful.
Of course it’s the NBA Finals and there will be no easy time for other teams but the Cleveland Cavaliers have peaked at the right time. After what was the real East Finals between the Chicago Bulls and the Cavs, the latter steamrolled through the Atlanta Hawks to keep warm for the Finals. Rested and ready, the city of Cleveland’s time is now.
Not to mention, Lil B hasn’t cursed those Midwest boys either (sorry James Harden). Hey Cleveland can I come to the parade? I have the Cavs in 6.
