You’ve just released the “Shooters” video, what inspired the cinematic theme?

Chevy Woods: I’m into movies and just seeing The Purge – I seen the guy that was saving everybody and I just thought it would be cool to actually play that role and do a little bit of acting. Not necessarily rap as much – in the video there’s a small part of me rapping.

What’s your favorite movie genre?

Chevy Woods: I watch a lot of action and foreign stuff. I watch stuff with captions where I don’t know what they’re saying but I read it on the TV and I’m like really into it.

Can we expect a video in that style?

Chevy Woods: Yeah, I’ve been trying to figure that out. What song and how do I want to go about it because I don’t want it to come across corny so I’ve just been taking my time on how to find out how I’m going to put my spin on it. I want people to feel like how I feel when I see a foreign movie and I’m reading the captions.

Anything else we should know?

Chevy Woods: We’re working on a few things over here that I can’t let the cat out the bag but just know that Taylor Gang as a collective is working on an album. It could be late 2015. We actually just sat down and had the conversation so you know once you sit down and have that conversation the real plan actually comes later down the line.
