Who is your favorite athlete of all time?

Chevy Woods: Bo Jackson – he made some cool shoes that I could play football in and he was just a good athlete. A two sport athlete. He does it all, that’s why they came up with his name “Bo Knows Everything.”

With All-Star weekend happening the same weekend as Valentine’s Day – how are you juggling both?

Chevy Woods: I’m sending my girl to All-Star weekend while I’ll be working. So I’ll get some work done and she can have a good relaxing time and tell me all about it because she’s never been.

Is she a big sports fan?

Chevy Woods: No, she just likes the [Pittsburgh] Steelers and LeBron James. She’s doesn’t even care about the real basketball game she’s talking about going to the celebrity basketball game.

What is you favorite All-Star weekend event?

Chevy Woods: I like the dunk contest, I mean it hasn’t been too exciting these last couple of years but I still like it. They add too much stuff to it, it should just be regular like it used to be. Just dunks, not bringing props and things like that.

How has your sports background influenced your music career?

Chevy Woods: I have a lot of sports friends so when I drop music or a mixtape I make sure they get it in their email. A lot of them are listening to it before they go out on the court or on the field while they’re warming up. When I say sports references some people don’t understand them and I use a lot of them.
