Up until now, Bill Cosby has maintained a firm stance of not answering any questions related to his growing number of rape allegations. He has now at least acknowledged that they exist.

In an interview with the New York Post he broke his silence to, at least, say how he feels the story should be treated by the media.

“Let me say this,” said Cosby. “I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.”

Cosby, who has been instructed by his attorney to not speak to the media, went on to poetically explain how his wife, Camille Cosby, is handling the allegations being brought up against her husband of 50 years.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

This may not be the groundbreaking response that some are hoping for, but this is still a positive step in the direction of getting both sides of the stories.

The most recent testimony of an alleged assault by Cosby was made by Beverly Johnson in Vanity Fair.
