In a personal essay penned by Beverly Johnson, the actress recounts her personal interaction with Bill Cosby. The comedian has recently been under fire after allegations of sexual assault have come to the surface by more than 15 women. Despite the wave of alleged sexual abuse, Cosby has remained very quiet on the matter. He has instead withdrawn his seat from the board of directors at Temple University as well as offered refunds to fans who no longer wish to see him perform.

Amidst this fiery storm, various women have appeared on television for live interviews to recount their story. Now, in an exclusive written account for Vanity Fair, Beverly discusses her own interactions with the fallen comedic star.

Detailing the beginning of her career leading up to her chance meeting with Cosby, she discusses landing a role on The Cosby Show at a time in her life where she was in the middle of a custody battle and divorce.

“I was in the midst of an ugly custody battle for my only child. I needed a big break badly and appearing on The Cosby Show seemed like an excellent way of getting Hollywood’s attention,” she explains. “I’d appeared in one or two movies already, but my phone wasn’t exactly ringing off the hook with acting jobs.”

The actress continues to recount her first time being invited to Cosby’s house to further work on her role where she was offered a coffee. “Now let me explain this: I was a top model during the 70s, a period when drugs flowed at parties and photo shoots like bottled water at a health spa,” she writes. “I’d had my fun and experimented with my fair share of mood enhancers. I knew by the second sip of the drink Cosby had given me that I’d been drugged—and drugged good.”

Ms Johnson is to be commended as alleged sexual predators and accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan, Jerry Sandusky, etc. must be apprehended before they have decades to prey upon our women and children. Sandusky is safely behind bars. But unfortunately, Sylvain Kustyan, who has been formally charged with two counts of 1st Degree Sodomy of a ten-year-old little boy, fled to avoid imminent arrest. Kustyan, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Hermin/ Mazingarbe, France, is now a fugitive from the law. Victims of Child Sexual Abuse often suffer lifelong physical problems as well as the psychological and emotional trauma from their horrifying experiences. Male victims have 3x’s the heart attack risk and 10x’s the suicide rate. Since the average pedophile has 300 different victims in their lifetime and since the recidivism rate among pedophiles is virtually 100% they must be stopped ASAP.

Mr. Cosby needs to at least apologize to these women. The least he can offer them is some amount of closure.

Social media has been saying that these women did not know each other before coming forward. Beverly Johnson said she was a friend of Janice Dickerson. Why all the lies?

  4. Robinsoneun says:

I had found it strange that all these ladies were trying to get into Hollywood by way of Bill Cosby, all during the same time period, DID NOT KNOW EACH OTHER? During different conversations, these ladies HAVE admitted that they DID know each other back then. They ALL knew each other in 2003, when Andrea Constand filed her claim. Now, in 2014, these women are claiming they DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER, WHY?
