Civil Scope: Stackboy Twaun
by Staff Editor

What lessons have you learned early on?
Stackboy Twaun: To not get caught up in the hype that comes with making big records. Everyone wants to be down with me now, but I’m focused on those that were with me from the beginning. I’ve been fortunate enough to build some quality relationships with QC and Coach K, my management, and other artists that I’m working with. I also learned that publishing is everything and as creators we should look to own our publishing.
You’re a part of the Stackboy Team, what should we know about you guys?
Stackboy Twaun: Man! That we have a ton of music on the way, we’re working day in and day out on new material for the fans. Should expect to hear some stuff very soon!
In hip-hop, producers are hot one day and the next there is a new one on the come up. How will you make sure your career has longevity?
Stackboy Twaun: By continuously working, I think a lot of producers get comfortable with one big hit, which is the opposite of what I’m doing right now. I’m working even harder than I was before “Fight Night,” to create another record that’s even bigger than “Fight Night.”
When you are creating, what do you need with you to be productive?
Stackboy Twaun: Man my equipment, good vibes, and great food.
What projects do you have coming up next?
Stackboy Twaun: Right now I’m working heavily with Young Scooter, he’s a real guy and has always kept it 100 with me. I’m also working to develop the Stackboy Team and get our music out there. I also have a lot of other records in the pipeline that I can’t speak on just yet, but they’re on the way.
