Remy Ma Collaborations

JAY: While Remy Ma may not be looking to ignite any beef with the current femcees of hip-hop, she is certainly posing a threat now that she’s home.

Hip-hop is supposed to be competitive right? But who says you have to have “beef” with your competitor? The bottom line is Remy Ma’s release from prison was just as talked about as “Fancy” or Nicki’s “Anaconda” storm, and even the historical collab with Nicki and Bey that just dropped yesterday (August 3). The next step is new music, which people have been dying to hear. Upon the release of the picture of DJ Khaled with Remy, there was a clamor over what she was cooking up in the studio, luckily for us it didn’t take long to hear. She’s a threat to the number one spot simply because it’s something new; quite frankly, that’s all hip-hop fans really want.

Luckily for Remy and unluckily for everyone else, she didn’t have to re-establish her name and prove that she can compete with the industry – she’s already put in that work with awards and singles under her belt. Others like Tinashe and even Iggy are still in that “proving themselves” stage. Remy may not be looking to start any beef or “come at” the other femcees, but her ability to lyrically assassinate every track is reason to be concerned.
