Quincy Jones Michael Jackson Trumps Pop Culture Vulture

Update: T-Pain isn’t staying quiet. The rapper is responding back to Quincy Jones’ Vulture interview comments about a studio session for Jones’ 2010 album, Q: Soul Bossa Nostra.

For the record I told my managers (at the time) and I told @QuincyDJones in his face “I don’t want to remake any of your past records because I know I’m gonna fuck it up. I’ll never be able to reach the greatest of MJ” it took them hours to pump me up to even go in the booth 1/2

Original: Quincy Jones is a name that rings many bells and he’s the man that’s hugely responsible for some of the most well-known acts to have ever touched music. Working with everyone from Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, and more, Quicy Jones has the reputation and stats to back up his impact.

Sitting down for a lengthy discussion with Vulture.com, Mr. Jones didn’t leave anything off the table. Getting into some things that may be hard to see about everyone’s favorite, Michael Jackson, the sheer honesty has to be respected.

On Michael Jackson stealing music:
Greedy, man. Greedy. “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” — Greg Phillinganes wrote the c sectionPhillinganes, an in-demand studio keyboardist, played on a handful of Jackson-Jones collaborations, including the 1979 album Off the Wall, from which “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” comes. . Michael should’ve given him 10 percent of the song. Wouldn’t do it.

What about outside of music? What’s misunderstood about Michael?
I used to kill him about the plastic surgery, man. He’d always justify it and say it was because of some disease he had. Bullshit.

Quincy also unveiled that he use to date Ivanka Trump.

“I used to date Ivanka, you know.”

“Yes, sir. Twelve years ago. Tommy Hilfiger, who was working with my daughter Kidada, said, “Ivanka wants to have dinner with you.” I said, “No problem. She’s a fine motherf*cker.” She had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life. Wrong father, though.”

Among a long list of other very interesting information and facts, the legend also noted his appreciation for artists like Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper for their contributions to music and Pop culture.
