We’re trekking away in our 25 Days of Hip-Hop countdown, where each day, we look back on a memorable moment that took place in hip-hop this year in light of the holiday season being upon us. We’ve reminisced on the G-Unit reunion, Macklemore sweeping the Grammys, the Jay Z/Solange elevator incident and Boosie getting released from prison — all of which have made 2014 a year to remember when it comes to hip-hop. And you guys thought 2014 was the worst year hip-hop has ever seen. Ha!

Today, we discuss something that most of us never thought would happen. The Voice of NY Radio, the Queen of hip-hop, Angie Martinez shocked the world when she decided to leave Hot 97 and join Power 105.1, the rival, soon after. While this was incredibly surprising, I think most of us can agree Angie made the right decision here.
