Peter Rosenberg Respond’s to Chuck D’s Criticism of Hot 97 on ‘The Realness’
by Staff Editor

Ever since Hot 97’s Summer Jam, Chuck D has delivered heavy criticism to the New York radio station and its employees. He’s treated Hot 97 as if it’s the embodiment and cause for all that he feels is wrong with the current state of hip-hop culture. Everything from the use of the n-word and supporting a corrupted system have been credited to the influence of Hot 97, Peter Rosenberg and Ebro. He even shared a link to take Hot 97 off the air.
The almost week-long twitter rant has been somewhat disorganized and hard to follow; no matter what message the Public Enemy MC is trying to deliver, it sometimes comes off as a scattered jumble of thoughts.
Peter Rosenberg has been responding to Chuck occasionally on twitter but chose to save his realest points to be shared on air for “The Realness.” After paying much deserved respects to Chuck D, Rosenberg proceeded to call him a troll, explain that Chuck has never really liked radio and made sure that everyone knows that ChuckD is not, nor anyone else, the president and sole voice of hip-hop’s collective culture.
Watch the video below and read some of Chuck’s tweets.
