by Staff Editor
Nicki Minaj kept her promise and released “Pills N Potions” to on the e-streets today. Unlike her recent, raw releases that were built for the gritty corners of the world, fans get another dose of her pop style (see: “Moment For Life”).
Over the simplified beat, Young Money’s first lady moves between singing and rapping. “It feels very uplifting and it feels very soulful,” she said of “Pills N Potions” backstage at Powerhouse during an interview with Rap-Up. “It’s a great, I feel, indicator of what The Pink Print will feel like in terms of the storyline of that song.”
The forthcoming LP as a whole “sounds like urgency,” the rapper told Billboard. “It sounds like betrayal. It sounds like running. It sounds like fainting. It sounds like love. It sounds like — *gasp!*”
After announcing that the track will drop at the top of the morning, the self-proclaimed Barbie interacted with some of her younger fans who said they would be either skipping class or school all together to listen to the track. Take a peek at her timeline on the next page.
