Lil Boosie: ” I just want to tell the kids across the nation that jail ain’t cool.”

Don’t expect Lil Boosie to pen rhymes glorifying the jail experience. Boosie Bad Azz won’t be the rapper to say a trip to the pen will make you any more G’d up.
“You should never think like ‘You go to jail and you come home a G’ Because it only takes one mistake for you to never come home. I just want to tell the kids across the nation that jail ain’t cool. Ain’t nothing about jail cool,” the rapper said in an interview with VIBE Magazine. “Ain’t nothing about having to eat slop all day—having your family come and you can’t leave with them. Ain’t nothing cool about having to shower with 16 men a day. You got to be crazy if you want to go to jail.”
Boosie reflected not only on his experience of being in jail but also how that experience will effect his future raps and videos.
“You’ll never see me with guns in videos anymore. When you get in trouble and they prosecute you, they show that to the jury. You won’t hear me calling out D.A.’s names anymore. It’s not worth it. It’s all about the music. It’s all about being successful,” he said.
The Baton Rouge rapper is focusing on keeping himself clean and putting out his first full body of work on July 15. During his press conference, Boosie said he had over 1,000 songs ready to go and it looks like we’ll get a taste this summer. Expect the as-of-yet titled project tp feature some big name guest spots including Young Jeezy and original production from Big K.R.I.T.
