Kendrick Lamar Speaks On Macklemore’s Apology Text; Says New LP Is Expected Out In September
by Staff Editor
When Macklemore and Ryan Lewis swept the 2014 GRAMMYs, several Hip Hop fans were disgruntled, specifically because Kendrick Lamar appeared to get snubbed. So much so, that Macklemore went out of his way to send K. Dot an apology text regarding the situation, which also caused heads to turn.
For the first time since then, Kendrick speaks on the situation and says Macklemore is a good guy. “That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude,” reflects Lamar. “However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people’s souls, and no one can take that away. Really, the whole Grammy moment was incredible. Not everyone gets that shot.”
No hard feelings clearly.
On top of that, Kendrick gives fans something else to be excited about. The West Coast lyricists says his sophomore LP will be out some time in September, followed by a Black Hippy LP expected out before the year’s end. Head over to Billboard to see the rest of the story.
