It’s time for a Jhené Aiko music binge. Right after dropping her Troy Ave-assisted remix to “The Worst,” the songstress releases “Stay Ready” with a guest appearance from her rap alter ego, J Henny. Originally featuring Kendrick Lamar, the pint-sized crooner lyrically dances on the beat flaunting her rap skills. The Fisticuffs produced cut appeared on her Sail Out EP released last year.

Jhenè Aiko’s full length debut is set to drop later this year and while we’ve seen the singer paired with heavy hitter rap talent, Souled Out will feature more of her own voice. “People are used to me with rappers,” she told Rolling Stone. “I’m anxious to show people where I am as an artist.”

It is certain that we will hear a guest verse from her four-year-old daughter Namiko but we can only hope that we hear more J Henny as well. Press play.
