J. Cole Speaks Out Against Police Brutality On Emotional Track “Be Free”
by Staff Editor
J. Cole is angry, and we can’t blame him. The Roc Nation signee just dropped a new track this morning, which speaks out against the police brutality that killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, St. Louis. Cole shows some raw emotion over the somber beat, as he screams and cries out as the track picks up.
You can hear him repeatedly say in the intro, “all we wanna do is take the chains off,” as well as other strong statements such as, “ain’t no drink out there that can numb my soul.”
It’s definitely a song that might leave you teary-eyed, especially if you’ve been keeping up with what’s been happening in Ferguson over the past 5 days.
The track doesn’t come as a surprise, as Cole sent out a very angry tweet yesterday, as his own way of protesting the police who kill innocent African Americans:
STOP FUCKIN KILLIN US

What do you think of Cole’s response song?
Man, this is a good massage but I cant get behind it, this young man robbed a store for cheap ass rellos, strong armed an old folk and I am expected to believe he didn’t try something els stupid with a cop? I dont know if he deserved to be killed over all this but he wasn’t just with a cop for no reason…I mean we have people still alive in jail for mass killings so…
regardless of what he did no one deserves to be killed like a animal rather he was in the right or in the wrong
true…but what about someone of a more sever crime? lets say beheaded a small child, do they still deserve to be no killed like an animal?
