It looks like 10-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis is building up her resume quite nicely and having fun while doing it.

The Oscar-nominated actress was recently spotted riding a Citi Bike in Harlem (Sept. 17) on set of her new movie Annie, a modern-day remake of the much-loved broadway musical. The feature follows 2012’s indie film Beasts of the Southern Wild in which the child star tugged at our heart strings as Hush Puppy.

Originally, Will Smith’s daughter Willow Smith had been championed to take the lead role. But after her intensive tour, the “Whip My Hair” star just wanted to be a regular 12-year-old. Can you blame her?

The movie, produced by Jay Z and Will Smith, is set for release on Christmas Day 2014. The star-studded cast includes Oscar winner Jamie Foxx as Daddy Warbucks and Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan.
