The-Dream took to Langa Township, South Africa to get the perfect setting for his latest video. “Black” features the singer wearing all black as he stands face-to-face with the barrels of a firing squad in protest of the racism and classism that plagues the world. Throughout the clip, protestors can be seen carrying signs that read “classism is the new racism” and showing support for the “Occupy Wallstreet” movement. To show that these are issues that effect the entire world, he draws parallels between Africa’s struggles and Chicago’s.
