What’s one piece of advice you’d give to any female MC watching Sisterhood of Hip Hop trying to start their career?

Siya: Never be afraid to be yourself.

Diamond: The music industry is 90 percent business and 10 percent entertainment so make sure you always get a lawyer to look at your paperwork. A smile and a handshake does not match what’s on that piece of paper. I am a victim to that many of times coming in this game young. No matter how excited or anxious you may be coming into this game just make sure your paperwork is straight.

Nyemiah Supreme: Don’t let “no’s” stop you. No doesn’t mean never. Don’t let those people telling you “no” stop you, do it yourself.

Brianna Perry: Stay focused. Stay at it. Stay passionate.

Bia: Put yourself in whatever your creative zone is and stay there. You don’t have to do anything that anyone else is doing. You just go in and have a good time because that’s what got you there in the first place. A lot of artists tend to stray from what they do and are like ‘I gotta make this record, I gotta make a hit or I gotta have the next Shmoney dance.’ You don’t have to do anything, the right records will come out.
