Chris Brown To Face Judge In Assault Case
by Staff Editor
Despite Chris Brown’s legal teams efforts, a judge will be moving forward with the Washington, D.C. assault case. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, argued that the prosecution abused the grand jury process to “freeze” the alleged victim’s testimony.
Judge Patricia Wynn agreed that the prosecution used the grand jury process correctly to assess the strength of their case. “I am persuaded that there was no abuse,” Wynn said according to Billboard.
Wynn has also ordered that Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy who is also being charged, be tried separately. Hollosy’s trial will begin April 17 and Breezy’s will follow at the conclusion of his. Both trials will be decided by a judge.
