The news of The Daily Show having a new host is bittersweet. With Jon Stewart stepping down from his hilarious hosting duties on the Comedy Central news show, comedian Trevor Noah will fill into the big shoes left for him.

“No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show,” he tweeted after the announcement.

The 31-year-old South African has appeared on the show a handful of times but promises to take on the challenge with his own youthful and international perspective.

“I’m thrilled for the show and for Trevor,” Stewart said in a statement. “He’s a tremendous comic and talent that we’ve loved working with.”
