A$AP Yams has passed away at the age of 26.

Yams, birth name Steven Rodriguez, was a founding member and mastermind behind A$AP Mob. Yams is credited with giving the members of A$AP Mob, which includes A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast and many more, direction and guiding them into the force they’ve become in both music and fashion.

Details on his death are scarce at the moment, but we’ll be sure to provide those as they become known. Many members of A$AP Mob, and the hip-hop community at large, have taken to social media to pass along their condolences.
