Beyoncé Addresses Fame and Feminism in “Yours and Mine”

“I sometimes wish I could just be anonymous and walk down a street, just like everyone else,” starts Beyoncé in her newly released short film. “Now that I’m famous, it’s really, really difficult to do very simple things.”
Tomorrow (Dec. 13) marks a year since Beyoncé changed the game by surprising the world with her self-titled album. Already on top of the musical world, the release brought her to entirely new heights of fame and notoriety.
“Yours and Mine” is an 11-minute short film, narrated by Beyoncé, focused on her handling of unparalleled fame, the importance of family and her position in regards to feminism.
“I consider myself a humanist,” says Beyoncé in the video.
