President Obama Issues Statement on The Michael Brown Shooting

Celebrities and people across the world have been outraged by the Ferguson shooting of Michael Brown, the unarmed African American teen who was fatally shot by a white police officer in Missouri on Saturday (Aug. 9). Hip-Hop artist and entertainers have took to social media to grief the lost of another unarmed teenager.
President Obama’s comments came in the form of a written statement about 18-year-old Brown. Obama spoke out on the shooting calling it “heartbreaking” and letting the public know he and wife Michelle Obama send their deepest condolences to the Brown’s family and community.

The president encourages everyone to comfort each other in ways that will heal not harm. With the combined efforts of the Department of Justice and the efforts of President Obama their is hope that justice will be served.
