For the last interview in his very popular CRWN series for 2013, Elliot Wilson sat down with the Pied Piper of R&B R. Kelly. In the first part of their interview, the 2 of them discussed Kellz’ recent album Black Panties and his aim to bring back “baby-making” music, working with Lady Gaga and how easily they gelled together, and the fact that a ton of his records were written in the parking lots of McDonald’s.

Towards the end of the interview, it got a bit more serious as Kellz talked about the struggles he faced with his throat surgery, as well as the pain he endured from the passing of his mother.
