Def Jam Announces Yeezus Tour Is Postponed Indefinitely
by Karen
After multiple movements and cancellations of random dates, it was announced today that Kanye West’s Yeezus Tour is officially postponed indefinitely, according to Ye’s reps over at Def Jam.
According to an official statement, a truck carrying the custom-made video truss and 60-foot circular LED screen was in an accident en route to tonight’s Vancouver show. Apparently damages were so bad, that it is nearly impossible to put on the show to Mr. West’s satisfaction.
“This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA,” says reps. “As a result of this evening, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be rengineered and refabricated. ”
Due to Yeezy’s “uncompromising” stance on the damaged equipment, Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis have all been postponed, with announcements forthcoming on the outstanding dates of the tour.
As always, we will keep the updates coming as more information becomes available.
