On November 11th, French Montana performed his first ever show north of the border in Toronto, Canada. With 2000 people in attendance (most of whom were not confident that French was going to overcome the Canadian border difficulties as many rappers struggle to get across) the crowd was hype, excited, and ready to party with Montana. Accompanied by Chinx Drugz, French performed a one hour set with DJ LoveDeNiro on the 1 and 2’s, and he also brought out Canadian rapper Belly, to perform his song “Num8ers” off his recent mixtape The Greatest Dream I Never Had. From the in-store, to sound check, and leading up to the show, French Montana was over excited to hit that stage and really put on a show for his fans. “I want to move to Toronto,” he said several times during his trip. “I love it here. The people are amazing.” Montana has plans to go back to Canada in early-mid 2012 for a full cross country tour.
