Mulatto is currently one of the hottest rappers in the game as the release of her debut album “Queen Of Da Souf” has garnered massive attention for its original and undeniable collection of hits. During this past week alone, Mulatto has taken to social media to share more of her world as she embarks on a new level of her journey. Recently, the star was asked who she wants to work with? In response, Mulatto revealed that she would love to collaborate with Nicki Minaj for a variety of reasons.
“I love Nicki. I love Nicki. I was in 5th grade when Nicki came out,” says Mulatto to TT Torrez on “Artist Quarantine.” She continues, “Heavy impact on the industry and I cut my hair in a bang, I had the pink highlights, I stood in line for Pink Friday, like crazy about Nicki; so I feel like she definitely…um…you can credit her [as] inspiration to me because like southern, I’m from the south so like I grew up on Gucci, TIP, Outkast, Jeezy, so I already got that in me naturally. But, listening to Nicki and just loving Nicki so much, that’s where it’s like, ‘Ok, she’s southern but she got a little lyrical edge to her, like, that flow switch up or whatever.’ So, like, I credit Nicki for that because I’m crazy about Nicki.” Interestingly enough, Mulatto also successfully remixed Gucci Mane’s iconic “Freaky Girl” anthem as Nicki Minaj did during her early-mixtape era. A collaboration between Mulatto and Nicki could be coming in the near future and judging by Mulatto’s new studio album, a record with the two femcee’s would be unbelievable.
