Congratulations are due to the popular radio crew The Breakfast Club, Sway Calloway, and Angie Martinez for being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame this year. The announcement comes just before The Breakfast Club’s 10-year anniversary as members of the crew, including Charlamagne Tha God, took to social media to share their gratitude. In an Instagram post, Charlamagne went on to state, “One day people will look back and give us respect for how we impacted the culture the past decade.”

As the Radio Hall of Fame “honors those who have contributed to the development of the radio medium throughout its history in the United States,” it comes as no surprise that this year’s induction will honor Sway, Angie, and The Breakfast Club. The famous personalities are well overdue for receiving their recognition and being honored in the Radio Hall of Fame as powerful radio voices that have delivered some of the best interviews and most iconic media moments in urban entertainment.
