According to documents from Complex, Pop Smoke is being charged with Interstate Transportation of Stolen Motor Vehicle. “On or about and between” Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 of last year, Pop Smoke is being alleged of “knowingly and intentionally” transporting the vehicle. Law enforcement sources claim Pop Smoke and the vehicle’s owner first met at a recording studio in Los Angeles. The two allegedly came to a “verbal agreement” to use the vehicle in Pop Smoke’s video and have it returned the next day. The car was later called in stolen as it was never returned. Pop Smoke even went on to post a photo of the car on Facebook, according to a law enforcement source who revealed that the musician is facing 10 years max in prison.

At a Friday hearing, Pop Smoke pleaded not guilty, but will still appear in court on Feb. 3. In addition to his bond being set at $250,000, Pop Smoke’s mother is selling her home to make sure her son is released. The government has requested Pop Smoke to not make any contact with any known gang members due to him also being a suspected member of the 823 G Stone Crips, according to Complex. Later this year, Pop Smoke is still set to deliver his “Meet the Woo 2” project.
