Dreamville’s Ari Lennox Releases Video for “BMO”
by Staff Editor
The DC songtress, Ari Lennox is serving us more butter these days. Putting quality back into R&B, Ari is one of the newer artists who is undeniably a Neo-soul comeback.
A goodie from the Shea Butter Baby album, Ari recently dropped the music video for “BMO,” watch it here:
Mixing a little Missy and little bit of Erykah, Ari’s creative eye for both her songwriting and visuals is what gravitates the most to her listeners. Aside from “BMO” being a fan-favorite, the video perfectly matched the song. Ari’s funky use of vocals, blunt fashion, jazzy lyrics, and taste for interior design makes both the song and video impossible not to like.
What can you expect from an artist of Dreamville/Interscope Records, as their roster have been delivering us nothing but hits these days. Along with Ari’s album, she also made a featured appearance on the record labels’s compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers III on “Got Me” and “Self-Love.”
After dropping her first album, Shea Butter Baby in May 2019, the album has reached #104 on the Billboard 200, according to Spotify. “BMO” is her third official single from the album and successfully listed as Top 20 at Urban Radio and #34 on the Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart.
The hustle and grind goes on, as Ari will be touring through Norway, Denmark, to the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom for her Shea Butter Baby International Tour. Ari is continuing to make us R&B music lovers proud. What’s your favorite track off Shea Butter Baby?
