With his ‘ERYS’ album still fresh, the multi-hyphenate creator says he may be ready to change course. Coming off his viral ‘I LOVE YOU’ free restaurant concept he launched in LA that fed the homeless vegan meals, Jaden Smith shared some comments on his career trajectory with Complex.

“I want the world to know that I am switching professions and that I am becoming a full-time inventor. I’m going to spend all of my time inventing new technologies because I think I’m better at that than making music.”

 “I’m still going to make music because I invent new songs. I invent new ways to make music, but I’m not a musician.”

Smith has had his hands busy in the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. His sustainable JUST Water company designed a filtration system called ‘The Water Box’ that could purify 10 gallongs of water for each family in Flint in 60 seconds.

Jaden has already professed his admiration for Elon Musk’s innovate Tesla company, citing him as his inspiration. Elon, of course, has returned the sentiment.
