T.I. has always been known as an entrepreneur outside of rapping. As far as the business side of things, the rapper and his longtime business partner Jason Geter, have officially launched ‘Tech Cypha,’ their new investment syndicate.

Tech Cypha focuses on “early growth and late-stage startup businesses; and on providing startups with capital, marketing, and branding direction through guided mentorship and various partnerships that include leveraging influencers,” as mentioned by BallerAlert. Meaning any startup business that catches their eye would be well supported by their resources. There is always a demand for mentorship, business strategy and consulting when it comes to startups and its interesting to see that Tech Cypha provides these to some extent.

While the goal of the is to collect resources together to invest in technology that is culturally created, driven, and relevant. This may include virtual data room document software which can help keep on top of confidentiality. Some companies have used Firmex for Due Diligence and it has helped them. It is always best to look around and conduct research with any and all software.

“Tip and I actually made our first tech investment about 13 years ago. After the company went under, I initially had a bad taste in my mouth about continuing to invest in tech until I realized that rather than feel defeated, I needed to truly regroup and devote time to learning far more about the space,” Geter shared with Black Enterprise.

Coming from that point, the two have also now formed a syndicate, which is a group of individuals or organizations who promote some common interest and look for various types of investments that match up with their thesis, as reported. Anyone who has ever started a business knows how expensive it can be. Whether it is getting a website design by companies that provide web design Cardiff or elsewhere, or investing in a strong marketing team, it is bound to be rough on the pockets. Starting a new business is no mean feat. In fact, even when you’re just buying the basics, such as the printers needed to create marketing materials from somewhere like Duplo International, can be expensive, which means that investment is needed so that startups can reach their full potential.

Also partnered in this syndicate is Killer Mike, Lil Duval, Tiny Harris, Brandon Lewis Jr., Tai Greene, Stephanie Shirley, Korey Roberson, and BJ Kerr.

One of their first investments is a digital studio based in Santa Monica called “Culture Genesis,” that created the live game show app, Trivia Mob.

“Multicultural audiences are growing, and they have a strong desire for entertainment on their mobile devices,” Culture Genesis co-founder, Cedric J. Rogers said. “We’re partnering with these two gentlemen to make sure that we hit the right notes with the technology that we are providing.”
