According to sources, Canadian rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham is set to testify during a trial in a music “sampling” case that took place December (18).

The ‘In My Feelings’ artist was sued by executives at Hebrew Hustle and the estate of jazz musician Jimmy Smith, for using a spoken word recording of Smith on “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2,” a song dropped in 2013.

Drake responded to the music publishing and management company, Hebrew Hustle, by launching a counter suit against them and its founder, Stephen Hacker.

Allegedly, Hacker misused Graham’s brand by using his image on their official website. It appeared as if they’ve worked together, and even Hackers online resume claims the manager (and clients), contributed greatly to Drake’s music.

Today, word is out that Hebrew Hustle has filed the necessary witness list — Drake is amongst others to take the stand. Though Drake has not yet responded to this situation, by the law of the court, his testimony is set to be live in front of the jury.
