Just after dropping “The Flute Song” with Scott Storch, Russ is back and this time he’s “Serious” on his newest single.

“Serious” was premiered as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats 1. In the song Russ’ raps about complicated relationships and is pleading for his girl to take him serious.

Russ’ new single is the second release from his sophomore album, Zoo.

“This album, as far as like a theme and a mood, it’s really more personal than I’ve ever gone. I really dug deep. It’s really reflective of everything right now,” he said they Zane Lowe. “It’s really telling of what it’s like to be famous. It’s not all glamour and a lot of it is really stressful and really high paranoia at times.”
