NBA Champ Matt Barnes and Snoop Dogg came together to help host a fundraiser for cancer research in the form of flag football and a party. The is an event hosted by Barnes each year for a weekend-long period. The event also included a bowling tournament and a pool party.

“I lost my mom to cancer in 2007 and I started this in 2008. I teamed up with Snoop about five years ago and it continues to grow. I’m a football player at heart. Football was my first sport and Snoop is a big-time coach and player so it only made sense. I’m excited to see the project continue to grow and continue to raise awareness, so it’s been great,” Barnes told THR.

Barnes led his team in white jerseys while Snoop’s team were dressed in black. Snoop’s team struck first and lead with a score of 26 to eight by halftime. Barnes’ team came back strong in the second half with the help of Hall of Fame wide-out Terrell Owens, earning two touchdowns downs. The game went into overtime and ended with Team Snoop taking the win.
