Looks like Mario is ready to come back on the music scene. Yesterday the singer dropped a new single via Instagram called “Drowning,” along with a caption stating it was the first single off of his fourth coming album, Dancing Shadow.

He later shared that he dropped a visual to the single. The video was exclusively premiered on Billboard yesterday.

In the same tenor voice and falsetto notes that earned him his breakthrough with “Just A Friend,” Mario sings to a slow, sexy beat. He tells a story of being in a battle of infatuation and lust versus love.

“This experience was an intense one for me,” Mario tells Billboard. “And sonically, the bittersweet chord progressions match the emotion of the story I’m telling.”

Dancing Shadows will be Mario’s first album since 2009’s D.N.A. It’s set to release this fall. Watch the new video below now.
