Chicago rapper Chief Keef wants everyone to salute him for being an innovator. The hip-hop star has credited himself for the birth of mumble rap.

Chief Keef went to Twitter last night (April 17) to boast about his game-changing rap contribution.

However, this hasn’t been the first time we’ve had a debate like this. Just last week, Gucci Mane and T.I. throw shade at each other by crediting themselves as the trap music kings.

To Keef’s credit, he has come to be considered by some to be one of the most influential rap artists in recent memory, despite his brief period of mainstream success.
