At a special ceremony, inspired by his work with the organization in Uganda, French Montana was named a Global Citizen Ambassador becoming the first rapper ever to hold the prestigious title.

Soon after filming the visual for his global smash “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee of Rae Srremurd, Montana became a central figure in the creation and implementation of Global Citizen’s #2BeStrong petition. The cause called for African leaders to make sure that expecting mothers and their children are given the proper health care that they deserve in early childhood. In addition to this, French also donated $100,000, out of his own pocket, to Suubi Health Center in Budondo, Uganda so that it can get the necessary equipment that will help women during childbirth.

Diddy congratulated French for his outstanding achievement on Instagram with a touching post that gave light to French’s enduring mission to help women and children in Africa.
