A master of rhythm and melody, Timbaland always knew he was gifted when it came to music. In the season finale of Complex’s Blueprint, the super producer tells all on his battle with drugs and how it influenced his creative process.

Now, sober and revitalized, Timb has fallen in love with the art form again and set his sights on a new goal: create a classic that will mark the next chapter in his career, just as Quincy Jones did with Thriller. In the special episode, Timbaland discusses the state of long-existing relationships with artists prolific as JAY-Z, what it was like heading his own label and (not) knowing when you’ve got a hit in the making. “The beauty of a hit is not knowing it’s a hit, but you know it feels good,” he says.
