Macklemore and Ryan Lewis shook up the Internet last week with their new, controversial record “White Privilege II.” The song touched on the concept of white supremacy and how, generally speaking, white people have it easier than those of other races.

As expected, the song sparked quite the controversy, especially with Mack dropping Iggy Azalea’s, Miley Cyrus’ and Elvis Presley’s name in the process. Iggy responded on Twitter to Mack’s lyrics, saying she was caught off guard.

Earlier today, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis stopped by Sway in the Morning to discuss the new record and once and for all explain the true meaning behind it.
