Update: Today, Meek Mill returned to court for his official hearing. Thankfully, Meek will avoid jail time, but the judge has ruled that he will spend 90 days on house arrest. This is certainly considered a win for Meek knowing what the worst case could’ve been.

TMZ reports that after the 90 days, the judge will re-evaluate the situation to see how much longer Meek will have to remain on house arrest. During those 90 days, Meek will not be able to perform, release music, etc. He’ll only be allowed to do charity work in his hometown in Philly through community service.

The sentence will begin on March 1st. Here’s a statement from Meek:

“I want to admit that I’m not perfect,” he said. “I’ve never been perfect. When talking to children, I never tell them that I am changed, that I’m a successful man. I tell them that I am a changing man working towards success.”

Meek Mill’s current court case took a bad turn today for the Philly rapper as the judge has ruled that Meek did in fact violate his probation. The sentencing has been delayed until February 5th, however, and it is unclear as to what type of punishment Meek is facing exactly. The judge rules that Meek’s faulty urine tests and his breaking of travel restrictions is what forced his probation to be violated.

The travel restrictions Meek is currently under is in place until his February 5th hearing. Vouching to be a better and bigger person telling the court, “I have the potential to be greater than I am today.”

We’re hoping for the best when February 5th rolls around and that Meek avoids any more jail time.
