Yo Gotti might have seen tremendous success within the past half decade, but don’t be fooled. The Memphis native has multiple decades of experience in the hip-hop industry, and his reign of being at the top of his game is nowhere near the end. In the last year, Gotti has kept fans on their toes over his highly-anticipated The Art of Hustle album, but that hasn’t stopped him from tiding his loyal supporters over with new records.
His recent hit track, “Rihanna,” is blowing up in the rap streets, becoming part of the debate for song of the summer, and he’s just dropped another new mixtape, The Return, today. Following up his Cocaine Muzik project series, Gotti is making sure we’re all warmed up for the release of the Art of Hustle, which he reveals is coming out “for sure this year” in our exclusive Civil Interview.
Check out part 1 of our lengthy discussion with Yo Gotti where he discusses his upcoming mixtape, reason for album delay, inspiration behind “Rihanna” single, his Cocaine Music Group and much more. Stay tuned for part 2 dropping later this afternoon. –Lindsey India
