Another week is in the hip-hop books and our industry is as exciting as ever. The Meek Mill and Drake beef continues to be a topic of discussion and now others are getting involved as well. Dr. Dre dropped a brand new album (yes, Dr. Dre), and the new Straight Outta Compton movie drops this week. Nicki Minaj is shutting down The Pinkprint tour, making for one of the most memorable tours of the year.

While the albums we’ve already gotten this year (Big Sean, Kendrick, Future, Meek, A$AP Rocky, etc.) are still in heavy rotation, we have a lot to look forward to music wise with a new Mac Miller album on the way, K. Camp, Travi$ Scott, Kanye (hopefully) and many others. In simpler terms, things are looking up for hip-hop right now.

With that being said, it’s time to shift the focus to some upcoming artists who are bound to be household names sooner than later. Check out a new edition of our Civil Selects series on the following pages.
