Earlier today, OG Maco took to Instagram to announce signing his first major label record deal. “The deal is done. We just went major!!!! Thank you to everyone who’s supported me to this point, I couldn’t have done it without you. Let the hate begin!!!! OGG™ QC™.”

In the photo below, you’ll see Head of Urban Music & Motown’s Senior VP – Ethiopia Habtemaram, Capitol Records’ CEO – Steve Barnett and Quality Control Founder’s – Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas alongside the “U Guessed It” creator. Confirmation that the young influencer has joined the Motown / Capitol Records family came via a retweet on QC’s official twitter account earlier this evening.

UPDATE 5/21/15: OG Maco put up an Instagram video talking to Capitol Records’ CEO Steve Barnett. He talks in the video, and says he thinks urban music has not done a good job talking to the new generation, and he feels OG Maco can change that.
